The Anchor, Digbeth
Gerry Keane and his family have run this excellent pub for over 35 years. They stock a constantly changing range of real ales, traditional ciders, bottled and draught continental beers. The pub has won CAMRA Birmingham's Pub of the Year award three times in recent years and is a grade II listed building. The bar is split in two and there is a lounge at the rear, as well as a quiet man's room reserved for non-smokers. NEW WEBSITE.

The Bartons Arms, Aston
The Bartons Arms new website is bigger and better than ever, with news of real ales available, the extensive Thai menu and forthcoming events at the pub. These include a regular comedy club, weekly live entertainment and beer festival weekends. There are numerous photos of the Bartons, as well as some details of its history and the people who have visited.

The Bull, Price Street
The Bull sits on the edge of Birmingham City Centre near the Dental Hospital and presents a changing range of guest ales. The pub can just be seen from the inner ring road, as it lies on the old streets of Birmingham near Lancaster Circus. There is an extensive range of home cooked food and Bed & Breakfast is available. Look out for prints of old maps of Birmingham, as well as an extensive crockery collection.

The Bulls Head, Barston
A 15th century village inn, situated just outside Birmingham. A selection of regular real ales and guest beers are always available in a friendly atmosphere. The pub has a main bar and a smaller snug area. There is a separate restaurant area and food is available lunchtimes and evenings (Sundays 12-3pm, no food eve). The regular menu is largely based on fish meals, but there are other choices and daily specials. Many of the ingredients are sourced locally.

The Wellington, City Centre
The Wellington will be no stranger to anyone who has toured the best of Birmingham's pubs in the last couple of years. The pub has won the 2005 CAMRA Birmingham Pub Of the Year award and has had a variety of rave reviews in the local and Brewing industry press. Their website is under construction, but has details of the beer range available at the time of visiting the site, news of upcoming events and articles written about the pub.

Highgate beers are available locally in the City Tavern, Bishopsgate St, near Five Ways.

Tunnel Brewery
A fairly new micro brewery sited behind the Lord Nelson Inn in Ansley, Warwickshire. Beers produced regularly include Trade Winds IPA, sweet Parish Ale and Nelson's Column, a strong ale. There are also seasonal beers including Fields of Gold Summer ale and Turnpike.
