Birmingham CAMRA Pub of the Year Award 2010
The 2020 Pub of the Year was announced out our AGM last November.
Pub of the Year Gold Award
This years pub of the year was awarded to The Black Eagle, Factory Road, Hockley.
A very deserving winner and most appropriate as licensee Tony Lewis is celebrating his 20th year at the pub.
The award was presented on Monday 13th December 2010.
Pub of the Year Silver Award
The Wellington, Bennetts Hill, having won the Gold Award last year was the recipient of this years Silver Award.
The award was presented on Thursday 17th December 2010 to coincide with The Wellington's 6th Birthday.
Pub of the Year Bronze Award
This years Bronze Award went to The Anchor, Bradford Street, Digbeth.
The presentation of the award took place on Thursday 20th January 2011.
Birmingham CAMRA Pub of the Year Award 2009
Pub of the Year Gold Award
The Gold award went to the Wellington on Bennett’s Hill, winners of the award for the fourth time in five years.
A presentation was made on 17th December to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the Wellington in its current guise.
A well attended event which saw new chairman Mark Delaney present the award to Nigel Barker and David Moorhouse.
Live music was played by Steve Ajao.

Pub of the Year Silver Award
The Silver award went to The Lord Clifden, Great Hampton Street, Hockley.
It marked an accession up the rankings for the Clifden (they won Bronze in 2008).
Another well attended event saw the award presented to proprietor Graham Smith and manager Sarah Thornton.

Pub of the Year Bronze Award
The Bronze award went to The Anchor, Bradford Street, previous winners in 2003 and 2007.
The presentation took place on 25th January to coincide with their Burn’s Night Beer Festival.
Chairman Mark Delaney handed the award to owner Gerry Keane, who made a speech praising his staff.
